Linda Clarke WASUP Award
The Linda Mary Clarke Memorial Award has been established in memory of Linda Clarke, who sadly passed away in July 2019. During her working life she was passionate in her support and encouragement to young women to achieve their potential in pursuing careers within Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM).
This Award offers financial support to female WASUP ambassadors/ Area leaders who have shown outstanding commitment resulting in positive achievements and development of a more sustainable and plastic-free community within their area.
The launch of the award will support the winner with a sum of up to £500 which may only be used in relation to WASUP and not their personal use. For example; leaflets, litter picks, Hi-vis jackets etc for the development purposes of WASUP within their area.
For the first launch of the award, applications will open first week in November with a closing date of December 2020. All applications will be reviewed, and applicants may be required to take part in an informal interview.
