Over the last 6 months, most of the big mosques in Walsall have been visited by Prof Gatrad on Friday when nearly 700-800 people attend for prayers. 500 Mugs have been donated with 10000 paper cups and 10000 paper plates to kick start the avoidance of Single-use plastic in the month of Ramadan in the biggest mosque in Walsall – Masjid Al-Farouk. The Management Committee is looking into purchasing an industrial dishwasher as the plans are for the use of reusable crockery and cutlery.
The Ram Mandir for Hindu Community have been given 200 mugs by Prof Gatrad to start their avoidance of Single-use plastic and the management has really embraced WASUP Principles.
